Should I turn my device off during charging?
Your device will charge slightly faster if you switch it off while charging, but the difference isn’t much unless you have Bluetooth or navigation services active.
How long will the ChargeBox® take to recharge my device?
ChargeBox® uses genuine manufacturers chargers and therefore charging your device in our kiosk will be just like charging it at home. However, to give you a rough idea we would suggest that 30 minutes charging time should be adequate to give most devices a good boost and 1 hour – 1 hour 30 minutes should fully charge most devices. Does ChargeBox® ‘fast charge’ my device?
No. Most modern-day devices use a Lithium Ion type battery and for these batteries there is no safe or reliable way to increase the speed of charging.
How long can I leave my device in a ChargeBox®?
Once you have securely locked your device inside the ChargeBox® the locker will remain locked until you return with the key and therefore you can leave it there for as long as is necessary (within reason). A member of the ChargeBox® team will only remove a device if they have reason to believe that it has been forgotten about and we would go out of our way to return the device to its owner.
